Using Waithwith Bank on the MOD land to the west of Catterick Garrison this is a popular event with competitors. The event this year had, not only the largest entry to date of 3 wheeler Morgans, but also an excellent and varied selection of other vintage and classic motorcycles. The morning even brought a little sun, so by the time practice commenced at 10.30 the track had dried. With a couple of practice runs before lunch and three competitive runs after, competitors times got steadily quicker. At the finish several competitors were fighting for FTD and class positions, but Mike Kemp held on to come out on top. Congratulations to all entrants, marshals, volunteers and the organisers for making 2017 another successful event. Our sincere thanks to the MOD for the use of the land to run this event.

Since the introduction of the ACU Day Licence age limitation, entries to our Aske Hall and Catterick Events have suffered. In 2018 we are looking for opportunities to reverse this trend. One suggestion is to introduce a Japanese Class 1E, for motorcycles such as Honda CB500 twins; Kawasaki KE500; Suzuki GS500, and similar (sorry no 650's), and maybe another for Japanese singles and twins up to, say 250cc (no MX or Super Moto's)

2016 - Sid Ormerod on his way to ftd in his Berkley 3 wheeler

Sunday 16th October 2016 dawned cold and with heavy mist, which was very slow to clear. At one stage it even threatened to stop the meeting. However around 11am it started to rain, and the mist lifted allowing us to proceed with the meeting, By early afternoon the sun was out, and every one had an enjoyable day. Some excellent times were set, and after a close fought competition, fastest time of the day went to Sid Ormerod in the Berkley 3 wheeler. Roll on 2017.
